I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-race for irrigating purposes, commencing at a point of the Upper Gorge, Manuherikia River, near my house on Black’s Flat, and terminating in my paddock. The length of such Waterrace is thirty chains or thereabouts, and its intended course is Southwest. The mean depth and breadth of such Water-race is 36x18 inches, and it is capable of carrying four sluice heads of water, WM. M'ENDOW. Any person objecting to the issue •of a license to the above named applicant must lodge his objection in writing at my office not later than Thursday, the 29th instant. W.
