From the Daily Times we learn that a Dr Pultncy has been engaged for the A’aaeby Hospital for one mouth. We learn from the Wakatip Mail that—“MrGrace reports the yield of gold from the Shotovcr Gold MiningTerraccCompany, for the last week, as 44ozs ; for the broken week, Ifiozs ; and states that the return is a payable one. He is working on a face in Eagar and party’s old claim, and is still troubled with the timber they put in, and will be so for some time. Mr Eagar has parted with a certain fortune, and we hear is now seeking a probable one on the Palmer.” The weather which during the past week has been most execrable, j,it having rained four days in succession, has apparently broken, the two past days having been comparatively fine, but from the heavy clouds which wero hanging about last evening, we should be but little surprised if we arc not served with a further dose of rain on the flats, and snow on the ranges. A man named Charles Brodio, Cooper, charged with issuing a valueless chequ", has been discharged on the ground of his having Cs 8 ' to his credit in the Bank on which the cheque wts drawn.
