Councillor Theyers gave notice that he would move at the next meeting of the Council—That it is desirable the Corporation of Alexandra obtain powers by Ordinance to levy a water rate, under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations’ Water-works’ Act of 1872. The Town Clerk was insti noted to write to the Provincial Solicitor, requesting him to draw up and lay before the Provincial Council an Ordinance to bring the Town of Alexandra under the Act of 1872. The meeting then terminated.
