Friday, July 31. (Before Mr Warden Simpson.) Goodger and others v. Thomas and another.—This was an action brought for the cancellation of the defendants’ water race license, owing to tbeir having failed to use the same for a period of more than thirty days. Mr Cowan appeared for complainants ; and Wilson for defendants. Owing to an informality in the plaint the case was allowed to be withdrawn on payment of L 3 I'Os costs. Applnation.—Rundsen and five others applied for protection for 61 days. Granted. Thompson and five others the same. Thomas Logan and others applied for 60 days’ protection, to enable them to' sink a main shaft to drain the mine Granted. Extended Claim.—James Cromhie and another were granted five acres at Doctor’s Flat. Residence Area.—George Chilton was granted one acre aa a residence area at Bannockburn.
