Mr Fergus considered that, to make a good road, the cost would bo about 130'Movcd by Or Rivers, seconded by Cr M‘Donald, and carried, That the Town Clerk be instructed to apply to the Government, through Mr Ilazlett, for a grant of money to make the necessary alterations. Towv RACE. Moved by Cr Rivers, seconded by Cr M'Kersie, and carried, That an advertisement be sent to the Dur.stnn Times, asking for tenders to lease the Town Race for the next twelve months. Tenders to bo sent in to the Town Clerk on or before the 18lh of June. rlx \sce. An account from James Simonds for the sum of 31. His. was passed for payment. UN KEG IST E REP GOATS. The Council decide 1 upon destroying all unregistered goats found within the Municipality. Tha usual vote of thanks to the Chair closed the meeting.
