The Talbot Loader says Recently one of the trains on the North Eastern line .os it approached Wangaratta, was brought to a stand-still by its vigilant driver on account of a bull resting itself on the track and refusing to budge at the screaming of the whistle. This was how the obstruction was eventually got rid ofApproaching with the engine to •'bout eight or ten yards of the animal, who gazed in ignorant surprise at the monster who came so boldly to him, the driver suddenly opened the escape valves, in front of the engine and let the boiling steam fall noon the Ranks of the trespasser. The effect was electrical, for no sooner did ho feel the scalding sensation than up jumped Mr Lull, with a bellow that could have been heard miles away, an I rushed madly down the embankment, shaking himself and roaring with pain, whilst tho train, rid of its obstruction went on its way.
