In the Resident Magistrate’s Crmrt, there was only one case on the causelist, which was 'satisfied. In the Warden’s Court, the pollution of the Town Water Race was again brought up. The dec'a'on was withheld till the Warden had visited tire ground. The Lecture delivered hy Thomas Fergus, Esq., on Wednesday evening last at Alexandra, in aid of the Library funds came off most; satisfactorily, a numerous and attentive audience being present, who testified their pleasure and appreciation hy numerous applaudings. In every sense, the Lecture was'a success. Mr. J, C.'Chappie, President of the Alexandra Library occupied the Chair.

The Clyde team were most hospitably entertained by their opponents, and though beaten, they appeared thoroughly to enjoy themselves.
