— o— usual monthly! mooting of the Committee] of Management was held in the Committee Koom, Town-hall, Clyde, on Monday, the 4th inst , at 8 p.m. There were (.resent : J. U. Cambridge. Esq , in the Chair, and Messrs. Auckland, Bock, Holt, Cambridge, Stevens Clark, Hastie, Christophers (Treasurer), and George Fache (Secretary'). MINUTES. The mintes of the previous meeting were read and. confirmed. correspondence. The,inward and outward correspondence was read, received, and adopted. Resignation. The resignation of Wardsman and Ma tron was laid on th" table. Resolutions. Resolved—That advertisements he inserted in the Daily Times, Southern Mercury', Cromwell Argus, and Dunstan Times calling for a married couple for the Dunstan District Hospital, salary, 901. per annum ; applications with tisiimomals to be sent to the Secretary not later than May both. The Visiting])Committee’s reportyNo. 1 was road and received. Deport No. 2, recommending payment of accounts for salaries, supplies, &o , for the month of April amounting to 1581. llsSd. was read and received. Accounts unpaid (passed) 177 SO The Surgeon’s report, as fellows, was read and received— No. of patients remaining in hospital at the beginning of the month 20 Admitted during the mouth IG Discharged do. 14 Died do. 2 Remaining at the end of month 20 Daily average attendance 21 .• The patients admitted were from— Cromwell 7 Bannockburn 2 Bendigo Gully 1 Cardrona 1 Black’s 2 Clyde 2 Alexandra I The report bears date’April 30, and after dealing with general matters, |says—“ The majority of cases admitted during the month Were cases of fever) and lam happy to state they are all improving, with the exception of two, one of which I have no hopes of , recovery, but the cause of death will not be from fever proper, but from long complication ; the case that I allude to is that of “ Luigi Valli.” The Secretary was instructed to tell Dr. A. T. Thomson to send for whatever drugs kte toay require. Mr C. P. Beck was elected member of the Visiting Committee, in the place of Mr J, Bastie, Vetirihjp ’The Secretary was instructed to have circulars printed. A vote of thanks to the Chair concluded the meeting. *
