CLYDE TOWN COUNCIL.

Cox, threatening, if account ianot paid for twenty-live loads of stone, his property, used in the construction of water-table, to take proceedings to recover. The outward correspondence was read and -adopted. The following tenders were opened Mr Edward M'Minnis, CUD/. Mr J. U. Cambridge accoiding to plans and specifications, 11501. The tender of Mr Cambridge was r.ccepto!. In considering to Mr Wilson’s letter, in reference to the Water Works Hill, the Mayor thought there was no direct necessity to borrow money fur the purpose, how ever, there was time to consider the better plan to pursue iu that direction. Tim course of tbe race to connect the Win Puna with the Wai Kcri Ivor! water (from both of which streams the Council have a right to water-), was not completed, and until is was done, no action could betaken.
