The usual Monthly Meeting of the Committee of Management was held in the Council Boom, Town-hall, Clyde, on Moulay evening last, the 2nd inst. Phere we e pre«ent: James Pazlett, Esq., "reaidant (in the chair), and Messrs. Auok’and, Reck, Clark, Cambridge, Stevens, ( olt, Ifastie, Christophers (Treasurer), and Fache (Secretary). MISCTKS. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COP.RKSPONDtSCB. The hi ward and outward correspondence was road, received, and adopted. In reply to letter from the Chairman of the B’ack's Progress Committee, asking for arrangements to he made for the taking of votes at Pdaek’s at the election of Surgeon, or to take votes by proxy, the Secretary was instructed to state that the Committee of Management had no power in the matter. The Hospital Ordinance raade.no provision for more polling-places or voting hy proxy, and the Committee deem it'the wiser course to confine Themselves within the four corners of the Ordinance, sa ports. The Visiting Committee’s Report No. 1 read and received. Report No. 2. recommending payment of .accounts for’salaries, provisions, 4c., for the month of January, amounting to 9U., was read and received. The Tieasurer’s Report, as follows, was aead and received :

The out-patients were ; From Alexandra district, C ; Black's, 2 ; Tinker’s 1 ; Clyde, 1. visiting committee. Messrs. Has tie and Clark were elected members of the Visiting Coinmitteo. FORMS OF RECOMMENDATION’. Mr. Christophers said that; on looking over tho forms of recommendation by which the patients were admitted, he frequently observed some were dated as far back as 1870 and 1871. He continued to say, forms of recommendation, when issued, were in ended to be in force for a year only from the date, and to recognise them after that was defrauding tho Institution. The butter plan to adopt would be for the Surgeon to refuse admission to holders of a ticket of more than a year old, and he would propose, That the Secretary write to Dr. Stirling accordingly. Seconded by Mr. Ho t, and carried. ELECTIONS, Mr. Steve's was recommended M the Presiding Officer at the election of Surgeon on the 14th of February. Mr. George Fache was appointed the Collector.
