WASTE LANDS BOARD.
Thg usual weekly meeting of the Waste 1 -ands Board svas held on the fishjinstaut, when the following business of local_interest was transacted : The opinion of the Provincial Solicitor re Campbell and Low’s application, was received. The Provincial Solicitor considered that a second application could be made by Messrs. Campbell and Low for their pre-emptive right on rum No. 241, Applications from Messrs. Crossan to exchange lease of .sections at Cairn-hill were approved. The applications of Messrs. White, Kemp, Leslie, and M'Donough to purchase sections situate at Cairn-hill were postponed until the opinion of his Honor the Judge lias bee n obtained relative to the validity of tbe reserves, Mr. Bastings spoke strongly in favor of the applications being granted, as the refusal of the same'.would bo most injurious to the settlement of the country. Tire application of Mr. W. H. Hastedt to purchese twelve chains square of land on Run 231, being Block IX., Leaning Rock District,{was refused.
