A most interesting little work, iescnb'ng the rise an I progress of watchmaking, has been published by J. W. Benson, of 25, Old Bond-street, and the Fity Steam Factory, 58 and CO. Lv.dgate hill, London. The book, which is profusely illustrated, gives a full description of tie various kinds of watches and clocks, with their prices. Mr. Benson, who holds the appointment to the Prince of Wales, has also published a pamphlet on Artistic Gold Jewlle’-y. illustrated with beautiful desi ns of Bracelets, Broaches, Jiar-tirgs, Lo-kets, &c., suitable for wedding,birthday and other presents. The phamplets are sent post tree for two stamps each, and they cannot be too strongly recommended to those contemplating a pm chase, esiecidly to residents in the country or abroal, \vho are thus enable 1 to select, any article, they may re-juirA, and have it forwarded with paiiecl safety.
