Dr. Bright’s Phosphodyne - Multitudes of people are hopelessly sufferin'; from Debility, Nervous and Liver Complaints, Depression of Spirits, Delusions, Unfitness for Business or Study, Failure of Hearing, Sight, and Memory, Lassitude, Want of Power, &c., whose cases admit of a permanent cure by the new remedy—Phosphodyne (Ozonic Oxygen)— which at once allays all irritation and excitement, imparts new energy and life to the enfeebled constitution, ami rapidly cures every stage of these hitherto incurable and distressing maladies. Holloway’s Pills. —Easy digestion— These admirable Pills cannot be too highly appreciated for the wholesome power they exert over all disorders of the stomach, liver, bowels, and k'dneys. They instantaneously relieve and steadily work out a thorough cure, and in its course dispel headache, biliousness, flatulence, and depression of spirits. It is wonderful to watch the daily improvement of the complexion, as Holloway’s Pill’s purify the blood and restore plumpness to the face, which had lost both flesh and color. These Pills combine every excellence desirable in a domestic remedy. The most certain and beneficial results flow from the occasional use of this regulating medicine ; even persons in health, or when following sedentary occupations, will find it an available aperient. Science and art. — A striking instance of the immense value a small piece of stool may acquire by the great power of skilled mechanical labor is the balance spring of a watch. From its extreme fineness and delicacy four thousand weigh not more than one ounce, and exceed in value £I,OOO. A most interesting little work, describing the rise and progress of watchmaking, has been published by -1. W. Benson, of 25, Old Bond-street, and the City Steam Factory, 5S and CO. Ludgatc hill, London. The book, which is profusely illustrated, gives a full description of the various kinds of watches and clocks, with their prices. Mr. Benson, who holds the appointment to the Prince of Wales, has also published a pamphlet on Artistic Gold Jewellery, illustrated with beautiful designs of Bracelets, Broaches, Ear-rings, Lockets, &c., suitable for wedding,birthday and other presents. The phamplets are sent post free for two stamps each, and they cannot be too strongly recommended to those contemplating a pm chase, especially to residents in the country or abroad, who aro thus enabled to select any article they may require, and have it forwarded with perfect safety.
