ROYAL DUKE is a pure-bred Clydesdale rising seven years old, stands IGA hands high, possesses great strength of bone, firm action, beautiful symmetry, and ii of a bright bay colour; he also lias proved himself a sure foal getter. Royal Duke won the first prize when a three year old colt in Dunedin, and the second prize against all comers at the Clutha. At the Agricultural Show, Dunedin, ho also gained the first prize as a throe year old colt- One of his foals, shown in Tokomairiro last year gained the first prize against numerous competitors. Royal Duke was got by Champion, (well known to be the best horse imported to tins colony), out of the celebrated mare Jessy, imported in 1 SOS, by Messrs. Emmery and Straghan, from Tasmania. The same year sbo gained the Taieri Agricult aral Society’s first prize for the best colonial-bred mare, and the second prize for the best draft marc at Iho Show, beating Air. Nimmo’s black marc imported direct from' Scotland, and the following; year took prizes both in Dunedin and Taieri. Terms £4. Croomagc, ss; payable at first service. Guarantees by arrangement; and all demands payable to the Groom at the end of the Season. An enclosed paddock of 200 acres for mares, free of charge ; stiictcst care taken, but no responsibility.
