Ticasury, Wellington, April 8, 1573 TENDERS are invited for the purchase of the whole or any portion of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds New Zealand Government .Debentures, issued under the Acts of the Legislature of the Colony, entitled “ The Immigration and Public Works Loan Act, 1870,” and “The Defence and Other Purposes Loin Act, 1870,” subject to the undermentioned conditions:— 1. The Debentures will be payable to Bearer, and. will be issued in sums of not less than One Hundred Pounds each. I 2. The ; Debentures, which are secured on the Consolidated Revenue of the Colony, will hear interest at the rate of four per cent, per annum, payable halfj cnrly, on the 15th day of April and the 15th day of October in each year, at the Bank of New Zealand, at Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier, Nelson, Blenheim, ' Christchurth, •Greymouth, Hokitika, Dunedin, I or Invercargill. T5. The principal sum will be payable on the 15th day of April, ] 913, at the Treasury at ’Wellington, or at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, at the option of the holder, six months’ notice being required, previous to maturity,of Cue place at which payment will be required. 4. Tenders will bo opened at the Treasury, at Wellington, at noon on Friday, the 9th day of May next, in the presence of such of fire tenderers as desire to bo present—the minimum price under seal Ding first placed on the table. In the event of equal tenders being received for a sum in excess of the issue, a pro rata distribution will be made. 5. The amount tendered for must be paid at the Treasury, at Wellington, as under :• - 5 per cent, accompanying application f the balance on or before the 10th of May, 1873. Half per cent, brokerage will bo allowed to brokers through whose . applications sales are effected. Applications by telegraph, received not later than 10 o’clock on the 9th ‘•of May, will be accepted, provided they arc accompanied by a telegram from the Manager of any Branch or Agency„of the Bank of New Zealand, notifying that the necessary denosit has been paid into the Bank of New Zealand, to the credit of a Loan Deposit Account.
