Bank or New Zealand, Alexandra, This Company is formed for the. purpose of placing a steam dredge on the Moiyneux River, near Alexandra, to woik the deposits in the bottom of the said river. It is needless here to dilate on the richness of those deposits, it being so well known the quantities of gold obtained f r the last live years by the dredges worked by manual labor. It is equally well known the days for. dredging by manual labor are speedily passing away. It is contemplated to procure a Dredge made wholly of Iro r >, fitted with Steam Engines of Twenty horse power, nonrnal, (capable of being worked up to forty horse) and worked on the bucket and ladder principle. The Provisional Committee have placed themselves in communication with the best. Engineering skill in the Province (some being p°rsond.y conversant with the nature of the river deposits) the whole being of opinion that there are no engineering difficulties to contend with. 11 is contemplated to raise One Thousand Tons per day, the cost per Ton not to exceed three pence, including wear and tear. The amount of ground is unlimited. There will be no promoters or paid up shares. Immediately one half the shares are subscribed for, a meeting of shareholders will be called to elect Directors <fec.
