We take the following from the Australasian— “ Suicide, was committed on the loth ultimo by a man called Charles Ferres ,iving at No. 112 Latrobe-strcet west. At about half past three he was found dead in his bedroom hanging by bis scarf to the bedpost. He must have acted in a very determined manner, as his feet were on the ground. The police were caller! in, and took possession of the deceased’s effects, which included letters, one of which seemed to indicate that he believed himself to have been slighted by a young woman. He has a brother at Sandhurst, to whom the police telegraphed. The deceased was about thirty five years of age, though believed to have been possessed of property lived alone in a rented room. The jury found that the deceased committed suicide while i:: a state of unsound mind.’’
