Dunedin, The Mining Conference on Saturday, carried resolutions agreeing to use their influence with miners to procure their support to any Bank which first raised the price of gold. They are in favor of the abolition of th° mining lease system : and strongly urge Government to introduce a provision regarding' mining on private property in the new Mining Bill.
