Both the Elizabet! and Star of the East Companies are about to clean up and holders of scrip are wait in; returns. For Stars, sellers demand Kos. and buyers offer 100s- to lo2s. 6d. Heart of Oak I can offer at IflOs., but as there will shortly he another dividend, 1 expect this scrip will rise. Elizabeths are firm at 625. 6d., with an upward tendency Nil Desperandum and Bobby Burns may he quoted as before. Collem Bawn, nonoffering, Of water-races there is little te report. Scandinavians continue firm at 501. : Hit nr Miss, 15/,, though an offer might hr -accepted 1 have United Mountain ane 1 Enterprise shares (50/. scrip) on hand, and for which I shall be glad to receive r offeis. Since Jthe foregoing was written the Star Company’s crushing has come tohandjtbr result being 121oz. Idwt. from 160 tons of quartz, or a trifle-over Isdwt. to the ton.
