SHARE MARKET
'Mr. William M ‘Nab, Sharebroker, Cromwell reports for week ending 12th, in«t The market for the past week has shown renewed signs of vitalhy, owing partly to the fact that, huve>'s have conceded slighHy to see'ers and the result of the crushings of the Elizabeth, Heart of Oak, Companv’s Cromwell Companies being to hand, the returns proving to invest ra the gold producing qualities of the Cromwell District quartz Reefs. For Slam T have had enquiry nt 5/, but as there are only a limbed quantity of this sc ip for sale in this market, holders will not sell under HI. 10s. Heart of Oak. —The result oFlast crushing, namely 267 ounces of gold from 212 tons of stuff, together with the fact of an 11s. dividend for serin bein'. paid, will raise the value very considerably. As there are no sellers I cannot quote a price, although 1 bought a parcel this week at a very satisfactory price to the investors. Elizabeth I quote at 3/. loo? 55., the former price I believe having been got previously to the crushing 750z. 5 Iwt. of gold, and, as before reported, this scrip will continue to rise. Nil Desperandnm an 1 Bobby Burns are at present at a nominal value. For the former I have a small parcel at 20s , but, as their machinery is in route , I expect to see the same Withdrawn. The’ latter I have the pa-t week quitted at 65., but now ask Bs, Cromwell Quartz Mining Comoany has this week cleaned np, I believe, with satisfactory results ; but, as this is a private company, they h-op th-dr doings private. However, they have struck some remarkably good stone The Aurora Company’s tributers start crushing on Monday, and, from the prospects, will prove payable If their ree f continues this company will be able to keep five head of stamps going constantly. In wat-r shares I am unable to report anything fresh. Scandinavians are held at 607, firm ; and, without doubt, will, after the first dividend, rise to a pr niiun. .Hit or Miss 1 can offer at 15.. I have also several private shares at various prices for sale.
■ Siuefc the above, the market has taken an upward ten lenov, and all s"rip ron iderably risen. I have placed rhi- week, Stars Hearts, Rohet Barm, and -Scandinavian Water shares at favorable prices. For stars the -e is enquiry, hut a i the Company are crushing, an 1 with good orosp ’cts, holders demand an extra 10s Heart of Oak—The last crushing, together with the dividend of 11s per scrip has made shareholders demand a very large rise in th-dr pric '3. On the 10th and 11th in-tait, I bought at 955. hut now have to ask 61. 103. Elizabeths, (under the new management), promises to be one of the fe v that will pay divi lends end although none was declared-last crushing, shareholders were so wed satisfiel that they •now ask Cos for their scrip. Nil Despe random 1 learn of good authority that this scrip has fetched yfis in the Dunedin Market although I have some at a cheaper price Bobby Bums— as Mr. Thomas Logan’s haHeyv is being erected adjacent to this claim, this Serin is bound to rise in value. Royal Standards—l have some shares for sale at reasonah'e prices, say 81. 10. Collem Bawn—This last fledged Registered Company demand. lon the strength of their last crushing) a little too much for their scrip, and as the claim is hardly known beyond themselves, buyers do not meet seßers as the latter would like. Golden Gate—l have a one sixth share in this Lease for sale at 691., a very goo I spec. Scandinavian and Hit or Miss water shares are held firmly at nreviovH pnotarions. viz., 601. and 151., although I have quitted a parcel of the former at 48b, 10a. nett.
