COACH ACCIDENT.
SUPPOSED LOSS OF LIFE. : .*• r. ■ • —o — An accident, which it is feared hasproved fatal, occurred last evening, about nine o’clock, to the Queenstown coach. Just after passing Mr. E. Ejliot’s, Half-way Houle Hotel, one ;of the horses shied, dragging the other horse and the coach over the bank, (which is about the worst bit eh the road, being almost perpendicular. There was one passenger in the vehicle. The driver and proprietor, Mr. Henry, managed to get on shore; hut what has become of the passenger, horses, or coach, has not as yet been ascertained. An active search is going on. Four of the mail bags have been recovered, Goodali’s Hotel, Wakefield, was destroyed by fire on Wednesday morning last. ■ [We stop the press to insert The above meagre information.]
