Tbeexpenses incurred in photographing tlio prisoners are to be deemed part of the maintenance of the prison.” The proprietor of the Stansfield Colliery has been fined 201. for defective ventilation in the pL, after a life had been lost by an explosion, and warning had been given by the Government inspector.
