The Brncc Standard says:—"The rediio ticn of the subsidy voted by the Provincial Council to country municipalities has had ■the-effect of crippling the efforts of the Oamarn municipality. That body'now asks The Government to relievo its necessities. (1) by assuming its debt paying the interest cm debentures, and the annual sinking fund account, (2) by enabling it underlie usual enactments to collectallliccnces and impose a tax of ?dper bale on wool and Id on grain altogether yielding an annual revenue of 1035/ or (3) to continue for five years more the usual subsidy. A Remarkable Cure of Dropsy by Holloway's Tills.—At Wootton, near Bedford, resides Mr. John Robinson, an opulent farmer who some time «go was in a most dangerous state from dropsy, being nearly double his ordinary size. He was given over by his medical attendants, and was at the time not expected to live three days, yet from this hopeless state he was cured by taking Holloway's Pills. This gentlemen is wcllt known in all the market towns of the country. The wonders that this fine medicine does in all cases of dropsy is truly surprising, and those who are laboring under this dreadful complaint should at once fey this remedv. J * , ■
