The amount of money proposed to be borrowed, which mu-Tnot exceed one-third of tlie estimated cost of the construction of the works. 2. With theappHcationtheapplicant ■shall forward to ihe Warden ■ r Agent a. reciipt from the Receiver of Land Revenue of the District for the amount ot 2i per cent, upon the money propo sed to lie borrowed. 3. Xmmedia elyaftorany application shall have been finally decided upon, the deposit, thereon will be repaid, except so ranch as may be retained under authority of the Minister for co\ ering the cost of the inquiry made in accordance with the provisions of the Act. 4. The projectors of any enterprre to which money may be advanced slid’ before tiie issue of any lo in to them, rgive to the Minister a valid lien or ■mortgage to cover the amount of loan over the works and property proposed to be constructed, and such hen or mortgage shall be registered in the Warden’s Court of the distiiut, and shall be prepai-ed at the expense of the projectors. 5. No money shall be paid towards the const ruction of an y wa’ev race, dam or reservoir unless tlmpi ejectors of the same sh ill have duly registered them selves under the Mining Companies Limited Liability Act or the Joint Stock Companies Act 6.
