(FROM a correspondent. ) January 3. 1872. In mining matters the want of water is be ng seriously felt by the sluicing companies about here. Messrs. Heron and party have been busily occupied in repai ing and cleaning their water racvs and gening everything in order for the summer sluicing campaign, The Messrs. Quaylcs having started outing their new race from one of the trihnt.iries of the Gor fc e Creek ; which, although at a very great alti'ude, will give tin m a supply of-Wa'er for summer sluicing jurioses.
