Entries for the Maiden Plate and nominations for the Matakanui Handicap Avill ho received by the Honorary Secretary, at the Dunstan Creek Hotel, up to S o’clock p.m. on the Ist of January, 1872. Weights will be declared immediately aftenvards. Acceptances at 10 o’clock on the same evening. Nominations for the District Handicap will be received by the Honorary Secretary up till 8 o’clock p.m. on the 2nd of January, 1672. Weights declared immediately afterwards. Acceptance, at 10 o’clock on the same evening. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No person shall he allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme (post entry races excepted) unless he bo qualified as a subscriber of not less than £1 Is. to the Race Fund. No entries will ho received for any of the above races, except upon this condition : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whomsoever they may appoint, and their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. Jockey costume will be strictly enforced, except in post entry races, when a cap will be sufficient. No deductions will be made from the gross amount of the stakes. In all races three horses to start, or no race.
