DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The usual monthly meeting of tho Com- | mittee was hold in the Council Chamber on Monday evening last at 8, p.m. Present, Messrs. Cambridge, (in the Chair) Grihdley | Beck, Welsford, Hazlett, Holt, Christophers (Hon. Tioasurer) and M. Marshall, (Acting Secretary. The minutes of tho last meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read and approved. The Visiting Committee’s report No, 1 was read and received ; tho No. 2 report, recommending payment of accounts amounting to 141/. o>. 3d., was adopted. The Treasurer reported r Cash balance last report ... £44 13 9 Subscriptions, Clyde .. 5 0 0 £49 13 9 Accounts paid ... .. 47 19 4 Assets. Ea’ance in hand ... .. £1 14 £ Subsidy due .. ..... 131 4 (, £132 18 £ Liabilities. Outstanding accounts ... £414 15 5 Accounts passed this evening... 141 0 £ £555 15 S The Secretary was instructed to write to the Government for subsidy due from last quarter. The Surgeon's report, as follows, was read and received Patients in Hospital on the Slstof October, five ; admitted during the month, six ; discharged, one ; died, one : remaining in bouse on the 30th of November, nine; daily average attendance, eight seven-tenths ; out-patients attended to, three. Mr. J. Hazlett was eloe'ed member of the Visiting Committee, in the room of Mr. M. Marshall, resigned. Resolved, That the Secretary and Treasurer! 0 instructed to insert advertisements in the Dunstan Timex and Cromu-e.U Argus, cnnven'ng a meeting of contributors on the 22nd inst., for the purpose of elec'ing a Resident Surgeon. (See advertisement.) Nr tice of Motion, by Mr. Hazlett, That, in future, no member of Committee be allowed to tender for supplies. Tenders as follows were accepted Bread, P. Caller : meat, Attfield and Welsford ; Groceries and wines and spirits, B. Naylor; coffins, W. Atkins ; burials, T. Webb. The meeting closed with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
