Whiohhe wantedtwenty pounds,noless, Asa golden salve, d’ye see, And for the doctor’s poultices ; Likewise the lawyer’s fee. But then the Beak, he could not see in. And he said it served John right, If he with decent Irish maids, Was mein enough (o fight; And to call her ugly names besides, Which was very hard upon her, Yet his Worship fined bertwenty hob, He did, upon my honor. Now the legal gent, he d : J wax wrath, And the doctor blessed his batter, For twenty bob would never pay Their expense-, in the matter. Which pity is that learned gents, Their talents should be wasting, About such trumpery little games, As Biddy’s Chinese basting.
