the clyde waterworks BILL, 1871. \1 OTICE is hereby given, that Ap- ■ plication will be made at the next Session of the General Assembly of New Zealand, on behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, rind Ratepayers of the Incorporated Town of Clyde, in the Province of lHago, incorporated under the provisions of the “ Otago Municipal Ordin-nce 1865, for leave to bring in a Bill to make provision for the construction and maintenance of Water Works for supplying the Town of Clyde, as defined by the Municipal, boundaries, with water and for defraying the cost of the works intended to be constructed under the provisions of the said Bill, and for the levying of Water Rates. And Notice is hereby further given, that it is intended to apply for power in the said Bill, for the compulsory taking of all or such part or parts as may be required for the purposes of the said Works of the lands hereinafter described, that is to say, a piece or narcel of land commencing at a point at or. near the out Sjtatipn hut of M'Laren, Gregjrykco., frffyf Gorge, on the Wai KerLeti^rn, in the Leaning Rock/MDi strict, ,An the Province of in a southerly direction to the mouth of the Wai Keri Ereri Valley, and thence in a westerly direction following the terraces to of point terminating at the site of the proposed Reservoir, on the north-east side of Block 43, Township of Clyde. The total length of ground required being nine miles by anavei age with of twelve feet or thereabouts. And Notice is hereby further given that the Names of the several Owners and Occupiers of the Lands hereinbefore described and intended to be taken as aforesaid are as follows— Charles Attfield, Samuel Welsford, James Hazlett, William Williams. Jean Desire Feiaud, John D. Atkin, Daniel Hanlon, James M‘Aitlnn - , Education Committee, and the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Province of Otago. And Notice is hereby further given that Copies of the proposed Bill will be deposited in the Colonial Secretaiy’s office at Wellington aforesaid, and at the office in the Cii yof Dunedin in the Province of Otago of the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the said Province, on Friday the 28th day of July instant, and that Plans of the proposed works, and a copy of the “ New Zealand Gazette ” containing this Notice will be deposited at the Office of the Town Clerk for the incorporated Town of Clyde aforesaid on Friday the 28th day of July instant Dated at Wellington this 7th day of July 1871.
