In January last the shareholders first began to reap the reward of their perseverance, and after paying working expenses, a dividend of £2 per share was declared, amounting aliogether to a sum of £5720. \ During the past month of Februptb-Xher re” turns from this mine havepgoiie on steadily progressing, and still continue to do so. The gold taken out during the five weeksendingthe 4th of March amounts to 27,2250z5., or rather over a ton weight, and of the value of £74,038. .Dividends in February were the shareholders to the a*momfnst’ £20,180 or at the rate of £l3 per scrip, and to-morrow a fourth dividend of £lO per scrip -will be payable, making altogether, with dividend of £ 1430 paid in December last,— which we had almost forgotten—£o7,2lo divided amongst the fortunate shareholders. During the two and! a-half years that this mine lias been steadily worked, the expenses amounted to a sum of £19,000, an outlay which has been abundantly and deservedly recouped inasiugle month.
