Goldsmiths’ Work. — The process of fine-art manufacture in this branch of trade is strikingly exemplified in a little work published by Mr. J. W. Benson, of No. 25, Old Bond-street, and of the City Steam factory, 58 and 60, Ludgate-hill, London. It is enriched and embedliahed with designs, by It alian, French, and F.nglish artistes, of brooches, bracelets, ear-rings, and other articles, suitable for personal wear, or for wedding, birth-day, or other presents, with their prices. Mr. j Benson, who holds the appointment to H.R.R. the Prince of Wales, has also published a very interesting pamphlet on the Rise and Progress of Watchmaking. These pamphlets are sent, post free, for two stamps each, and they cannot be too strongly recommended to those contemplating a purchase, especially to residents in the country or abroad, who arc thus enabled to select any article they may require, and have it orwarded in perfect safety. Holloway’s Ointment and Pills. —— In all cases of weak stomach, which are usually attended with want of 'appetite, nausea, griping, disturbed sleep, and a general prostration of the bodily powers—complaints of ordinary occurrence amongst all classes of the Cape Colonists, —theed. Pills will be found a sure and certain remedy. Among the most common indications of a diseased stomach, are a songs of fullness after eating, a dry, yellow tongus, flatulence m the abdomen, a disagreeable taste in the mouth, heaviness in all the limbs, giddiness, pain in the eyes, want of energy, aversion for mental exercise, and irregularity of the bowels. These symptoms disappear after a few doses of the Pills have been administered; the stomach, liver, and bowels, resume the regular and vigorous performance of their functions, the patient's strength returns, and in a short time the care is complete.
