DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

The usual monthly meeting of the Dunstan District Hospital Committee was held at the Town Hall, Clyde, on the evening of Monday, the Cth instant. Present, Messrs. Pyke, (Presi’ent) Christophers, (Hon. Treasurer), Grindley, Bock, Marshall, and Cambridge. The minutes of the last monthly Cora, mittee meeting and of the annual meeting . of contributors were read and confirmed. The Resilient Surgeon’s’ report showed that the number of patients i.i the Hospital on the Ist of January was seventeen ; admitted during the'month, seven; remaining in the Hospital on the 31st of January, fourteen ; daily average, sixteen and twothirds. The patients admitted were from 'Cromwell, three ; B'ack’s, one ; Clyde, two ; ’Wanaka, one. The report also stated that , uo water ha ’ ■flowed to the Institution for some consi eralile time past, but that Me.ssrs. Young and party had kindly supplied the water required, since "Wednesday last, from their race. The report was receive' 1 , and. on the motion of Mr. Christophers,, seconded by Mr. Marshall, it was resolved to tender the thanks of the Committee to Messrs. Young ami party. Mr. Grindley proposed-That Rule 2 should he altered by the substitution of the word sixteen for the word twelve. Mr Beck seconded the motion, which was carried.
