ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL

The usual monthly moeting of the Council was held 0:1 Friday, 2lst inst. Present . The Mayor, a id Councillors Beresfonl, Ratcliffe, Finlay, and Allan. The minutes of tha last meeting were read and confirmed. The inward and outward correspondence was read, and received and approved. Accounts to the amount of £7 3s. w re passed for payment. Resolved, That Mr. J. C. Chappie and Mr. James Rivers be appointed to act as Assessors for the year ending the Ist of August, 1871, at a salary of two guineas Resolve', That Councillors Beresford and Ratcliffe and the Town Clerk draw up specifications for the formation of Athlonetreet and tho extension of Limerick-street, s call for ten.iers, and submit them to tho Council, at a special meeting to be hold on the 4th of November. Resolved, That the Town Clerk be empowered to let the building recently occupied by the late Mr, J. L. Henderson to any suitaW tenant.
