Roebuck is a bay horse, six years old, by Towton, out of Hiss Rowe, by Sir Hurcules, dam Miss Millar, by Young Wanderer; Sir Hercules by Cap-k-Pie, out of Paraguay. Towtok (own brother to The Peer) by Melbourne dam Cinizelli, hy Touchstone (vide English Stud Book), imported into New Zealand in 1858. Marchioness, an own sister to Towton and dam of Fishook, won the Oaks in 1855, and The Marquis, a son of Cinizelli, by Stockwell, won the Two Thousand Guineas in 1862, run second for the Derby (for which he was first favorite), and won the St. Leger. Good Grazing Paddocks provided for Mares, mid every care taken, but no responsibility.
