REPLY. Gentlemen, — THE very flattering requisition I have received to again become a candidate for the office of Mayor of Clyde, leases me no option but to comply with your requests. I have had the honor ofbeingelected to that enviable position on two several occasions. While holding it I have done my duty to the best of my ability, and should you again elect me I will spare no efforts to promote the interests of the town and district, and to retain that confidence of my fellow townsmen of which I am so justly proud. From your past experience in the Town Council, and your unremitting attention to the duties thereof, we have eveiy confidence that you will still do your best for the general benefit. Trusting you will see fit to accede to our request, we beg to be, Sir, Your most obedient servants, Robert Finlay Charles Morris William Beresford Joseph Mason James Samson and others.

REPLY. Gentlemen, — I Have much pleasure in acceding to the request of the requisitionists to allow myself to be nominated to the office of Mayor, and should Ibe elected, shall continue to do my utmost to forward the interests of the township.
