In BANKEireTCV. (Before A. D. Harvey, Esq, Clerk to the District Court) Friday, the 6th of May.)

Be Poter Harrington and Patrick Minton —This was a first meeting of Creditors. Mr. Brough appeared as counoil for the bankrupts, both of whom duly surrendered. Mr. George Fiche, as agent for Mr. John Griffin, merchant, of Dunedin, and Mr. L. Thoneman, merchant, of Dunedin, filed authorities to act as such. *

The following proofs of Jqbts were filed by Mr. Fache :—JohnGriffen, £l6O 16s. 4d.; Lang and Thoneman, £473 3s. SJ. No sufficient number of creditors having attended, in conformity with the provisions of Section 105, claused, part VIII of the Act, the meeting was adjourned until Friday, the Kith hist.-, at the Court House, Clyde, at 11 o’clock. „ Mr. Fache subsequently put in affidavits of L. Thoneman and John Griffin, creditor in the estate for the sum (jointly) of £633 19s. 9d., praying for removal of proceedings to ihe Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Dunedin. Reserved for the consideration of the Court at the next meeting, as there is a probability of an amicable settlement of the affairs of the bankrupts. Saturday, the 9th of May.
