ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.
The usual fortnightly meeting ci the Council was held on Friday evening, the 22nd April last. Present, the Mayor, and Councillors Theyers and Beresford, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was read and approved, the inward, read and received. A letter was read from Mr. William Wilson, miner, Alexandra, applying for leave to fence in a piece of ground round his dwelling house. Leave was grants *, provided he did not interfere with any existing rights. A letter was also read from Mr. William Wilson, Otago Foundry, Dunedin, stating that, in accordance with order, hewould be able to forward water-taps in about a fortnight. An account to Messrs ADNaughton and Mot befell, for gravelling top of Tarbert Street, amounting to £l4 155., was passed for payment. “ This finished the business before the Council which then adjourned.
