POST-OFFICE NOTICE.

From and after this date the postage on letters fordall Australian Colonies (excep Western Australia) will be as follows: Not exceeding half an ounce 3d. Not exceeding one ounce 6d. Not exceeding one ounce and'a half 9d. And so on, increasing 3hj for every half ounce. An alteration has also been made on the progressive rate of postage on letters for the United Kingdom, British ' Colonies and Possessions, which will in future be as follows : Not exceeding half an ounce One rate. Not exceeding one ounce Two rates. Not exceeding one ounce and a half Three rates. Ami so on, for every additional half ounce or fraction of half an ounce, one rate additional. The English mail, via San Francisco, will close at this office on Sunday, the 21th of April, at 9 p.m. Mails close at his Office : For Dunedin, via Lawrence, on Tuesday at 10 p.m. For Queenstown and intervening offices, via Cromwell, on Sunday, at 9 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Thurdays, at 10 p.m. Mails will arrive at Clyde : From Dunedin on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at 6 p.m. From Queenstowm and Cromwell on the same days. From Cardrona and Lake Wanaka on Thursdays, at 6 p.m. J. HONYWILL, Postmaster Post-office, Clyde,’ March sth, 1870. Mails close at this Office : For Clyde, Cromwell, and Queenstowm, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, at 5 p.m. The Office closes for sale of stamps, issue and payment of money orders, registration and delivery of letters, punctually at 5 p.m. W.
