MARTIN’S BAY.

[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH ] (FEOJI|OUR OWN' CORRESPONDENT.) Queenstown, Thursday, 4 p m. Mr. Whitworth, reporter to the Daily Times, arrived overland from Martin’s Bay yesterday morning. The journey occupied three days. When he left the Survey party was ergaged in laying off a township, about four miles from the sea two tivni Lase M'Kerrow. A prospecting party had found gold in a dry creek, nine miles? from Martins Bay, and obt Sued very good prospects. Mr. Whitworth reports that there is a large amount of good agricultural land, with every appearance of there being gold. Several parties have just arrived from Canterbury, and have started overland for Martin’s Bay, looking for sheep country and sections to take up.
