CLYDE SCHOOL.

The regular meeting of the Committee was held at the School House on Monday evening last at 8 o’clok. Present, Messrs Marshall, Hueston, George and Christophers, (Clerk). Mr. George occupied the Chair. The minutes of the last regular meeting were read and confirmed. Letters from Mr. J. Hislop, the Secretary to the Educational Board, dated 28th Feb. and 7th March, and telegraph of 4th March, intimating that the Government had sanctioned a grant of £IOO for the proposed new residence, were read and received. Resolved that Messrs George and Hueston prepare plans and specifications for a house to cost about £2OO, and that a meeting be called early next week to receive their report. The following accounts were passed for payment, namely, A. R. Livingston, for prizes, balance, £1 6a. ; W. Colgan, carriage of same, 2s. 6d ;J . U. Cambridge, Desk, &c., £5 os. 9d After a vote of thanks to the Chairman, the meeting adjourned.
