PULLING HIS NOSE.

A shocking case of murder has been investigated Dear Crowle, North Lincolnshire. The victim was a married man, named Charles Brown, with two children, and the murderer • aa Irishman, named Patrick Welch. Deceased and some of his friends, a* well as Welch, went to the River Dun Hotel or, Saturday night. Most of them were more or lesdrunk. Welch was asleep in a chair when Brown and his friends entered. An Irishman named Connolly told them to awake him. Brown proceeded to do so, and pulled his nose in a playful manner Welch said, "Thou had better give over, or I will into thee." Brown replied that he had boen told by his mates to awake him. Tho landlord interfered, and told Brown and his friends to let the man alone and leave the house. They went out, and presently, Welch and hia mates followed. Brown then addressing Welch outside, said, "Wilt ta into me now? " Welch replied, " I will if you don't keep off." The two then began to scuffle. Brown staggered away to the wall of tho public-house, and while Welch was walking off he was seen by one of tho witnesses named Robinson with a knifo in his hand. Welch said t* this viitness, " 1 have a good mind to do you." Ho was further heard to say, " I have donoono and there are only two more now!" Brown was seen leaning against the wall in a helpless state, and on being spsken to said, "Oh take me home, I shall die." He was home, and it was then discovered that he had befta stabbed in three places, there being two wounds in the abdomen one lower down. The jury returned a verdict of vilful murder against Welch, who was fully committed fortrioL
