THE MORDAUNT DIVORCE CASE.

It is genorally understood that the logal advisers of Sir Charles Mordaunt, Bart., of Walton Hall—whoso suit for a dissolution of his marriago with his wife has been the talk of faßhionablo ciroles for months past—have taken decided measures to have the question of tho sanity or insanity of her ladyship tried without delay. It will be in tho reoolleotion of tho pnblio that on the 27th of July last tho Judgo Ordinary of the Divorce Court made an order that the question should be tried by a speoial jury, as tho advisers of tho respondent pleaded that she was not fit to answer the petition by reason of her state of mind. The question then arose as to her custody, and her father, with other persons, nominated, the medical attendants being specified. Her ladyship went to live at Worthing, and afterwards at Bromley. In November tenn a motion was made to vary the order, and that Dr. Forbes Winslow, with Dr. Turner Smith, should see the respondent In the interest of the petitioner, to ascertain her oondition. The cause would have been Bet down for trial last term but'for the heavy business of the court. As the report of the two eminent medioal gentlemen abovenamed points to the oonolusion that, evon if the respondent be not now insane, tie present system adopted with regard to her is very likely to bring about that result, or at all evente, to aot very prejudicially towards her oondition, a special motion will be made in a few days to farther vary the order as to her ladyship's present oastody, and to fix peremptorily U earl/ istj fee the hwvrrng of th« muss.
