ARREST OF BOCEEFORT t ATTEMPT TO BARRICADE THE CITY,

The Gazette des Tribunaux states that M. Boohefort was arrested en Monday night at eight o'elook a» he was abouf. to enter the Publio Meeting Hall in tl:t Buo de Flandres. He inado no resistance, but, on the contrary, said to the byeianders at the entrance: " Remain quiet, citizens, I shall soon return to the meeting." After this the 1 Commissary of the Police and his assistants accompanied M. Koehefort to a carriage, and conducted him to. the prison ef St. Pelagia. J.u»t after M. Flourens, who was present, stepped forward, and, unsheathing the blade from a sword oane, shoutod, "Boohefort most be set free." It is asserted that he fired two or threo shots from a revolver, and that others followed his example. Luokily, however, no one was woundod. At the same time tho Commissary of Police, who was present at the meeting held inside the house, declared the meeting dissolved. He was immediately Burrounded, and dragged into the street, and threatened with death. For upwards of an hour he was oxposed to insults and menaoes, but was finally rescued by police agents. At half-past ten an attempt was made to throw up barricades in the Faubourg du Temple, and alßo in the neighbourhood of the Courcine Barracks. Carriages and omnibuses were upset, but the presence of tha polieo sufficed to disperse the rioters. About tha same time six omnibuses had been overturned in tha Bae da Paris at Belville, and a somewhat impesing barricade was thus formed. At one o'clock in] the moruiag strong detachments of the Garde de Paris and bodies of infantry and oavalry proceeded to Belville. The Boulevards at the same hour presented a rather animated spectacle, yet no disorder took place. It is stated that all the writers upon the journal La Marseillaise have been arrested, excepting M. Arrould. who managed to escape. The Commissioner of Police his made a search among the papers at the office of that journal.
