Weights to be declared in the “ Dnnstan Times” on the 4th February, 1870, and in the “Otago Daily Times” on the 7th February, 1870. Acceptance, with t2 25., together with sweepstake (t'2) enclosed, to be received by the Secretary before 8 p.m. on the 23rd February, 1870. Distance two miles. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE Of 75 sovereigns. Distance two miles and a half. One event. Over eight flights of hurdles. Nominations, with t'2 25., and acceptances, with J'2 25., to be received, also declaration of weights to bo made on the same dates and in the same manner as in the District Handicap. TOWN PLATE Of 150 sovereigns, for all horses, second horse to receive 25 sovereigns out. of the stakes. Entrance £7 7s.' Weight for age. Distance two miles and a half. That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall he decided by the stewards, or whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connect d with the carrying out of the programme shall he Hnal No person shall he allowed to enter or run a horse for any race in this programme, post entry races excepted, unless the latter lie qualified as the hona-ticle property of a subscrih tof not less than 3f.35. to the race fund.
Fatties to be received I>y the Secretary, at his office, Sunderland Street Clyde, liefore 9, p.xn on 23rd February 1870, entrance money enclosed, with name, age, and pedigree (if any) of the horse, nulne of the owner, and color of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the entered, will be fined 2f. Five per cent, will lie deducted from the gross amountof all stakes for expenses, Horses Walking over will receive 50 per rent of the stakes. The Duustan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced.
