Monday, the loth of November. In Bankruptcy(Before his HohoV Mr. Justice Grey.) Jessee Geer, baker, Cardrona, applied for an orde of discharge. The bankrupt was supported in his apiplicatioft by Mr. Brough, and was opposed by Messrs. Lange arid Thoneman, by Mr. ! R. S. Dods, and by the Provisional Trustee (Mr. Bathgate), on whose behalf Mr. Manders appeared.' Mr. Mamb-rs urged the following objections:—l. That the bankrupt has, within two months next before adjudication, an' iu contemplation of bankuiplcy, given u^PLpreference to some of his creditors; 2. That lie has not kept proper books, and his concealed tho state of his affafts. 3. That within three months of his adjudication, the bankrupt has contracted -.elite within any reasonable expectation of being able to pay them, and used fraud arid false prcteiice in obtaining goods representing said debts. 4. Thathchad'pntthc creditors to vexatious costs for the recovery of his debt; anil asked for an a'journment until nextsitting, which was granted—lnsolvent to file accounts and bring all papers, and assist in collection of debts.
