HEATHER JOCK is a beautiful dark bay horse, 17 hands high, of immense hone, fine symmetry, and superior action, was got by the far-famed horse Reformer, imported by C. Rossiter, Esq., Cranbourue, and out of the. celebrated mare Flora, the property of J Johnston, Esq., V\ hitiesea, Victoria. HEATHER JOCK has taken first and second prizes as a colt of one, two, and three years old in Victoria. Sire Reformer, who gained the High Land "’ociety’s first prize at Perth in 1852 ; as a yearling, in 1856, at Melbourne, the Port Phillip Farmers’ Society’s first prize, beating Clyde (Mr J. Wilson’s) and four other imported sires ; in 1857, at Melbourne, the Port Phillip Farmers’ Society’s first prize, beating Clyde and four others ; at the same meeting won the Champion Cup, value £3O, as the most perfect animal exhibited. He has also taken a mini her of local prizes, and his stock have been successful as prize-takers, l am, Flora, got by the renowned horse Prince Charlie, imported by Messrs. M‘hi tosh, Qienroy, out of a pure-bred V.D.L, mare bred by R. Q. Kermode, Mona Vale. Flora took first prize at " hitiesea two years in succession, first at Kilraore and second at Heidelberg in 1861.
