GORPORATI ON of ALEXANDRA I Hereby give notice that, as no Nomination of Candidates, in the room of Councillor Jack, resigned, took place on the day appointed (for want of assent in writing), it shall be lawful for the citizens to elect any qualified person who shall be nominated thereto, without his consent, and the election shall in all other respects be as provided in the “ Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance,” 1805.
The nomination will lake place at the Council Chamber, at noon, on Friday, the 17th inst., and the poll (if any) will be held in the Council Chamber on Tuesday, 21st hist. Nominations, duly filled up, must be lodged with the Town Clerk not, later than noon on the 17th inst. Forms of nomination can be had on •application to the Town Clerk. ROBERT FINLAY, Mayor.
