UPPER CLUTHA FERRY.

('J 0 THE EDITOR OF THE DUXSTAN TIME"!.) Sir, — I Bee by your last issue that your “ Own Correspondent ” has taken to task Mr. MfPherson, the party who first had the courage to invest his all in placing a proper and efficient punt on the Upper Clutha. Your “ Own Correspondent ” complains of the approaches to and from the punt; had he taken the trouble to come this way lately, he would have seen that his remarks were erroneous ; the road to and from the punt is in good condition, and I think the Government should protect the man who invested his all for the accomodation of the public. I air, 4c, TIDE ET CUB E, Wakefield, August 14. 1869.
