(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH,) (from our own correspondent.) Dunedin, Thursday, 2 43 p m. A most severe shock of earthquake was experienced in Dunedin this morning. The vibration of the earth commenced at about twenty minutes past eleven o'clock, and continued, with more or less severity, for fully half a minute. The shock was so violent that it caused the town clock to strike. Considerable alarm was felt, but no damage is as yet reported.
