THE ENGLISH MAIL.

(to the editor or the duxstan times.) Mr. Editor.—Can you inform me at whoso door the fault lies that the Postmaster here at Clyde is not informed as to the date of leaving of the English Mail, it was known in Duncdin a week prior to the date of sailing, and yet we are kept in the dark here. If the fault rests with the chief Postmaster, the sooner he is superseded and a more energetic man put in his place the better. It is just as important up country that we should know in time the leaving of the English Mail as it is in Dunedin, and with direct Telegraph communication nothing is more easy. Postal communication is bad enough in Otago already, but to cut us off from the old country is carrying the Old Identity a little too far, for yours, &e. I SUFFERER.
